Brand & domains

Use a custom domain

Default URLs look like yourslug.encore.photo/g/wedding-2026. With a custom domain, that same gallery serves at galleries.yourstudio.com/g/wedding-2026. Your brand, every link, no Encore subdomain in the receipt.

What plan is required

Custom domains unlock on the Professional plan ($29/mo, $264/yr) and Studio Plus.

Setup

1. Settings → Custom domain

2. Enter the hostname you want (e.g. galleries.yourstudio.com)

3. Open your DNS provider, add a CNAME record:

- Host: galleries

- Value: encore.photo

- TTL: 300

4. Back in Encore, click Verify. We resolve the CNAME and flip the verified flag if it matches.

5. TLS certs auto-issue once the verified flag is on. Allow ~10 minutes for issuance.

What if I downgrade later

The domain entry stays in your settings, but resolution stops working until you upgrade again. The CNAME on your side is harmless to leave in place. Visitors hit our server and get a 404, prompting them to use the encore.photo subdomain (which keeps working at every plan tier).
